I can't look through this gallery without grinning from ear to ear. To know Kayla is to love her. Southern belle with a heart of gold. Not only has she been a client since my early photography days, she has become a dear friend. I'm so happy she found the love of her life - and I absolutely can't wait until their destination wedding this coming fall -- beach celebration!!!!!
Laughing, hugging, strolling, dancing, all under the late afternoon sun. I'm all for a stoic and composed capture, I mean if Mom or Dad or Great Aunt Betty wants it, they must be appeased. However, the truth of the matter is that most of the time that's not what really represents any of the couples I meet! When a couple's photos are shared, printed & displayed -- those who know them should look and immediately connect the couple they know with feeling and emotion in the images.
Kayla & Zach are SO much fun! She's quite witty, and he's got the dad jokes down, already. I adore how evident their joy & laughter shines through -- it was hands down the most important thing for me to capture with them.

This story is special, because Zack is not only gaining a wife, but a daughter as well. It didn't feel right for us not to have Kayla's daughter, Olivia, present for a portion of this session.

Thankfully Zach's sister met up with us to make sure Olivia was taken care of when it wasn't her time to shine. Which gave me the opportunity to safely sneak away into the fields and snag some quiet moments with these two lovebirds. Any time I can get a couple aside, even for 5 minutes, you can bet I'll take advantage. More intimate in nature, this brief interlude allowed them to really focus on their passion and love for one another, all distractions aside.

And because laughter is the best, and these two know how to have fun, they were nothing but good sports when this third wheel (Zach's sister & one of Kayla's best friends!) happened to sneak into a moment between the two of them. Now this is how you end a shoot -- a beautiful sunset, new family in the making, and a whole lot of love.

I'm so stoked to close out 2019 on this blog post, and I look forward to all the new memories that will be created and captured in 2020! I would love the chance to capture your love, your children, your family, whatever memories matter to you!
